India Keep researching with IEEE

I heard IEEE first time in the year 1999 during my 6th semester of UG. I don’t know anything other than this Institution is responsible for creating standards and other research activities related with Networking, Software, and so forth. I attended a National Conference on Soft Computing SCIT 2000, at GG University Bilaspur, I found many citations related with IEEE in their papers. Many users use the IEEE citations in their presentations. IEEE was striking in my mind in day, in night, during bath, every time. Anyways conference was very interesting, I was bunked my whole lectures for 3 days and attended the conference for 10 hours daily without any problem. Later I finished my BE(Hon’s) in 2001. That time internet was not so widely used. So matter, what is IEEE was almost closed.
I joined teaching in 2001 after completion of BE. I taught Computer Networks, textbook used was Computer Networks, 2e, by Tannenbaum A.S., I was again in dilemma what is this IEEE. The bibliography the text used many citations were from IEEE. I then took Seminar classes in 2002 in spring semester, and then I got more on IEEE. This (IEEE) is Professional Learned Body empowering engineers and researchers in right direction.
Due to lack of awareness about fund transfer and the membership cost we were not able to join a single Membership of any of the Professional Learned Bodies. Membership cost was very high with respect to our country although it was negligible against its benefits. Student received fair membership benefits in terms of student concession, but I was not student so I must have to join professional membership.
I always attended and presented many papers in IEEE conferences, and always I thought about how to join, how to join…….?
Accidently or fortunately! I was searching for papers; I was full of excitement that for SAARC countries the membership fee is very low and easily affordable for needy person. I am incredibly thankful to IEEE for doing so. Now with this small step I am sure more and more researchers may be encouraging to join IEEE like me and also it will lead to promote the new generation to form a beautiful tree.
Finally I joined IEEE. Within a week I downloaded a free ebook from ebook Classic on Distributed Operating System by P K  Sinha, for my upcoming theory subject to teach. MemberNet is a service to contact IEEE member (All grades), for various activities and consultation. Another advantage is come with IEEE in terms of JOBSITE which is also free.
I am very happy with IEEE, and hope so for everyone. Come and look forward, go ahead, and join our IEEE for everything else.
